Sunday Review #2

week 2

Hello everyone!

It’s again Sunday and I’m here to let you know what I’ve been reading, watching, listening, etc!

Remember that I wasn’t sure abot the name of this feature? Last week was Week in Review, today Sunday Review, and I can’t think of any other so it would be so much help if you tell me which one is better in your opinion or maybe give me some ideas? Thank you!

Music

I like to share songs that you might not know and of artist that are famous but maybe ‘not-that-famous’. I don’t have one of these today but I have a song that I really really like. It has been out for a while but the video with Demi Lovato was released two weeks ago.

I breathe you in, but, honey, I don’t know what you’re doing to me

Movies

Yesterday I went to see The 5th Wave with my friends. I’m going to be honest, I read the book more than a year ago and haven’t re-read it since then. I didn’t remember the details just the important things that make the story.

I liked the movie, but I don’t know if I had these high high expectations or what, but for me it wasn’t the best book to movie adaptation. Before watching it, I just read so many people saying how amazing it was and that it was ‘the best book to movie adaptation’ ever. Maybe that made me expect so much. Don’t get me wrong, I liked it. Other thing that might have happened is that I remember while reading the book this big long journey that Cassie does and in the movie for me, it was so short. I know they can’t put everything from the book,I know. The movie, for me was one minute was starting and the next one it was ending,it ended so fast.

I really liked the way the world and the waves were explained.

It definitely wasn’t the worst movie but it wasn’t the best book to movie adaptation.

If I had to rate it, I would give it something like 3.8-4 of 5 stars.

This is just my opinion but I would love to read yours!

Oh! And can we talk about that scene where Evan is taking that beautiful bath? Okay, no, well, it was a good scene. I really like that actor.

Oh! And, did you see the amazing trailer of Suicide Squad?! I’m so excited for that movie!!

TV Shows

This week was a great one! (I just realised I should keep track of what I watch so I don’t forget anything, I’ll definitely start doing that!)

I finished watching Daredevil! So good! (I don’t mind if you recommend me TV Shows 😉 ) I’ll be doing a post about my thoughts soon so I don’t want to say a lot.

I watched Reign, Teen Wolf and Continuum as usual weekly TV Shows.

The big thing of this week is The 100 season 3 and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Starting with The 100, I missed this show so much! Everything is so different! Murphy and Jaha with that weird world, I need answers! Jasper, is so heartbreaking. Clarke is in so much trouble. Lincoln and Octavia with their relationship not that well. Bellamy like a boss. I’m a Bellarke shipper and I don’t know what will happen BUT! I’ll leave you this that for me is so sweet!

About DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, I liked it! It’s a spin-off series of Arrow and Flash, two TV shows I haven’t watched and for me everything is new.

I really liked the time travel thing of this tv show. I really like the story behing Hawkgirl and Hawkman, and I like Sara. But this was just the first episode so I need more to say which are my favorite characters. I’m excited for this to continue!

Books

Books! Yay!

I read Indestructible by Emma L. Adams, you can read my review here. I gave it 4/5 stars and really enjoyed it!

Then I read Sibilance by Aria Kane and gave it 3.5/5 stars! Here is my review, I enjoyed this, and it’s a short read if you are searching for one.

I finished Demons in Disguise by A&E Kirk, I love this series and here is my review BUT be careful because this is the third book in the series. Here is book one.

Last but not least I’m reading Scardust by Suzanne van Rooyen, and I’m enjoying this so much! I can’t wait to do my review and for you to read it!

Bookstagram

I’M BACK! I can’t tell you how happy I am about this! Here is the link to my bookstagram account!

Hello everyone!
The topic of this week from Bookish Scene Project 52 is Wanderlust.
Last year I had my first 'big journey' going to Spain and France. I loved traveling and visiting new places. It was such a great experience and I can't wait for other of those trips!
This week topic inspired me to take some other pictures that you will see throughout the week.

Blog

I updated my social media links and added other social media icons to my side bar! I have been wanting to do this for a while and I thought Friday was the day, and I did it! The next thing is making some customized icons but I’ll wait for that until I find the theme and design for my blog that I know will be THE ONE, at least for a while.

This is all for this week!

Let me know your thoughts about any of these and if you have a recommendation of any kind please let me know about it in the comments!

  1. I skimmed over your review of the fifth wave because I plan to catch it this tuesday when the films are half price LOL but I really liked your music recommendation because it reminded me to add it to my ipod. If i had a week in review it would just basically sum up two days because this blog is two days old! haha But I’m glad I found your blog in the short amount of time and I would love if you checked out mine!
