Series I would like to start someday…soon

Hello everyone!

A few weeks ago I decided to do a spreadsheet with all the series that I’m currently reading, that I have read, and that I want to read. I decided to do this because I wanted to have in one place all the series and I could easily track the ones I want to continue reading and those I want to read.

So! Let’s start today talking about some series I would like to start. These series are the ones currently on my TBR and I would like to read some of them before adding new ones. Some of these have been for years on this list!

The Fae Chronicles by Amelia Hutchins

This is probably the one that has been the longest on my TBR. I’m not even sure how will I like it but I’m still curious and willing to give it an opportunity.

It seems to be a 7 book series, and the last one came out this year so I’m not that late… 🤫

If I’m being honest, the urban fantasy side of it is what attracts me the most add it celtic influence and I’m just all the way into it.

Seven Realms by Cinda Williams Chima

This is very similar to the last one. It has been on my TBR for so long. Funny thing is that I own the first and third in physical copies but not the rest. This is a 4 book series that for no reason I have been putting off.

Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson

Goodreads link.

Exactly the same as before 🤦‍♀️.

The Last Hours/The Wicked Powers by Cassandra Clare

I put these two together as they are from the same author but also because The Wicked Powers and most of The Last Hours haven’t been released. Yet, as I now plan and know I will read them, they deserve a place on this list. ✨ Chain of Gold I plan to read next month and I’m so excited!! ✨

Nikolai Duology by Leigh Bardugo

Goodreads link.

In this case, I own the first book but I haven’t yet read it as I’m waiting to be closer to the release date of the second one. I really hope I enjoy this one!

The Rain Trilogy by BB Easton

Goodreads link.

I got these from Amazon, if not for free for a very low price, and that and the cover was the reason to get them. I had never heard of them before but when I looked them up on Goodreads, I saw they have good ratings. I plan on reading the first book this month and the others in the following months. The idea is to do a mini review or comment about this trilogy. It has been a while since I have read any dystopia and less one being NA. I’m very excited to dive into these!

Heirs of Chicagoland by Chloe Neill

Goodreads link.

I’m both excited and hesitant to read these. I read the Chicagoland Vampires series at the beginning of the year and really enjoyed them. Heirs of Chicagoland is a spin off series and I feel kind of bittersweet: excited for a new series, new stories but we won’t get the same protagonists, of course they will be close but I feel like I will miss a bit our old set of characters. For now there are just two books, don’t know if there will be more. I just need to find the courage, you know? 😅

The Sixth World by Rebecca Roanhorse / Book of the Ancestor by Mark Lawrence

I put these two together as I feel like they have landed on my TBR because of Booktube. I didn’t know about them and for the las couple years I have been hesitant to add books that I see on booktube. However, the booktubers I watch have talked a lot and highly of these series, so I decidede to give them a chance. They both sound amazing and something that I will enjoy.

Trail of Lightning as an urban fantasy series. It doesn’t have as good rating as Red Sister, and also the last is pure fantasy. Hopefully I get to them soon!

Trail of Lightning // Red Sister

Hudson Valley by Alice Clayton

Goodreads link

Romance trilogy that seems to be fun, cute, very romantic and entertaining. Perfect for those moments I only want to read romance novels. I saw that Sara from Freadom Library read this and recommended it so I decided to give it a go (firstly adding them to my TBR)!

And that is all for today! I hope you enjoyed this little list and maybe even got interested by one of them.

Let me know if you have read or plan to read any of these!

Love,

Aldii

  1. I’m so bad at completing series! I have one or two first books in a series on a TBR, but there’s a really high chance that I’ll never continue with the series once I read book one! For some reason I much prefer standalones!

Good luck completing all these series! I hope you enjoy them all!

  2. OHH what a wonderful list!
I ADORE the Girl of Fire and Thorns series, and Rae Carson’s writing in general. I think it’s a perfect YA fantasy series that deserves more credit than it gets!
I think I read the Nuts book a longgg time ago… but honestly, it must not have been that good since I don’t remember much, LOL! (Ofc, hope you end up liking it hehe)
Omg I need to read King of Scars too!! I honestly don’t remember much of the Grishaverse, rip, but Nikolai has always been a fave character so I’m here for it hehe.
Also the Rain trilogy seems interesting! I’ve seen great reviews for it too but never got to it because I heard the pacing was wicked fast and I was like “oop that’s too much for me.”
I LOVE TRAIL OF LIGHTNING!!! It was sooo good, and Roanhorse’s writing (with Indigenous culture) was spectacular! I hope you enjoy that one 😀

    1. I’m currently reading Nuts (i was kinda stressed bc of Uni and decided that some romance was the perfect solution 😅) and I already know it will be good but not great, not even remarkable in any way to remember it. It’s definitely funny and entertaining and that’s what I’m hoping for with it. It won’t be a fave but oh well, it’ll be at least an entertainment!
I need to reread the Grishaverse. I never read the third one, but I think I will dive into King of Scars bc I already own it and hopefully someday I will finish that first trilogy. Hope you enjoy it too!!
Agh, I’m going to do a review once I finish the whole Rain trilogy… ugh… I just have some things to say about the first book (which is the only one I have read so far!)
OMG! I’m so happy that you enjoyed so much Roanhorse’s writing. I’m sooo here for it for a well written urban fantasy with Indigenous culture. I’m just even more excited now!!
      Thank you for your comment!!
